David Park is a retired educator and interpreter for whom poetry has mattered since high school. He was raised in small towns in western Pennsylvania and the Hudson River Valley, although eventually yielding to his wanderlust, he has spent many years in San Francisco, Seattle, and Lima, Peru. In South America he accomplished his sentimental mission of finding a wife, and he is still by her side after 40 years. In all of those places he has been made well aware of the power and beauty of art, wild ideas, and the written word.
